one-week session April 5-9 • 9AM-3:30PM
CA Resident $210 Non-Resident $245
Extended Care available from 7-9am ($45wk) and 3:30-6pm ($50wk) at the Columbia Teen Center-Oakland Mills Village Center

This camp focuses on engaging in new activities, making friends and exploring healthy lifestyle choices. Campers expand their horizons through indoor and outdoor adventures such as hiking, swimming, field trips and crafts.

Changes due to snow/HCPSS

The recent snow storms and resulting changes to the Howard County Public School System Calendar have necessitated the following changes to 2010 summer camps:

CA Summer Camps will now begin June 28th 2010
Most camps scheduled to run June 21-25 have been canceled; you will receive a refund if you have signed up for that week.
Rescheduled camps – the following camps have been rescheduled:
- Modeling Fashion Camp rescheduled for June 28-July 2
- Lacrosse/Field Hockey (Girls) rescheduled for July 12-16
- Lacrosse/Football (Boys) rescheduled for July 12-16
2 Week Camps, originally scheduled to start June 21, will now start June 28th and run for only one week. The fee for these camps will be adjusted. Refunds will be issued if you have already paid in full.
2 week Nature Camp will still have their overnight Thursday July 1st
2 week Girls on the Go will still have their overnight Wednesday June 30th
2 week Camp Discovery WILL NOT have their overnight.
Columbia Association School Age Services will offer a “schools out” day for June 24th & June 25th. Please call SAS for more information 410-715-3164.

Please contact the camps office if you are already signed up for camp during the affected days: June 21-July2, so we may properly adjust your camp account.
The Remaining Camp Season has not been affected.

IMPORTANT changes for 2010

PM Extended care now ends at 6pm.
No Nature camp at Lake Elkhorn - see below.
No personal check will be accepted after May 15th.
Tennis Camp (Formally Tennis and Swim Camp) no longer offers swim lessons but will continue to provide recreational swim.

May 15	Final payments due (All registration received after May 15 must include full payment.) No personal checks will be accepted after May 15.

Bumper Magnet Game Become an Instant Winner.

Be sure to keep your CA Camps bumper magnet on your car for the entire camp season (Jan-Aug 2010). Our official "spotters" are on the lookout for just that! If your vehicle is spotted, you will win $25 off any full-day CA Camp. Upon registering for camp, simply provide us with your license plate number on the bottom of the registration form. We will give you the magnet; you place it on your vehicle and game on! Mail-in registrants may pick up a magnet from CA headquarters, Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm. Terms and Conditions: Vehicles must be spotted off camp grounds and only one win permitted per household.

Wilde Lake Nature and Nature/Sail Camps Expanded

Due to the dredging, there will be no camp held at Lake Elkhorn for the 2010 camp season. Enrollment in Nature and Nature/Sail Camps at Wilde Lake will be increased.

T-Shirt Pick-up

Each camper is entitled to one free camp t-shirt once their camp balance is paid in full.
T-shirts will be available for pick-up at CA Headquarters (10221 Wincopin Circle, Columbia, MD 21044) as follows:

Tuesday, May 4, 7-10am
Friday, May 7, 1-3pm
Wednesday, May 12, 5-8pm
Saturday, May 15, 9am-12pm (Final payment due)

To expedite the process, please bring payment confirmation to t-shirt pick-up. T-shirts are not required to be worn at camp. Walk-in registrations will not be processed during t-shirt pick-up or open house.

Open House

Saturday, May 1, 11am-2pm
Kahler Hall, Village of Harpers Choice
Please join us Saturday, May 1st from 11am-2pm for our Open House event at Kahler Hall, 5440 Old Tucker Row, Columbia (Village of Harpers Choice). Enjoy entertainment, light refreshments and several special drawings for free camp sessions and other prizes. This is an opportunity for you and your camper to meet the Directors and ask questions. You may also make your final payment and pick up your campers t-shirt. Light snacks and refreshments will be available. Walk-in registrations will not be processed during Open House or T-shirt Pickup.
